Founded by faculty, alumni, students, and friends of Williams College, the St. Kateri Institute is committed to promoting the Catholic intellectual tradition in the northern Berkshires.
"Life is not just a succession of events or experiences: it is a search for the true, the good, and the beautiful."
Benedict XVI

Community.

A symphonic approach.
Promotes an encounter with the truth, goodness, and beauty of reality through philosophy, theology, literature, art, and manual work.
A local presence.
SKI is committed to support and help flourish the Williamstown and broader Purple Valley community.
A place for students, faculty, locals, and alumni to engage rigorously and freely with Catholic thought.
Through lecture series, book discussion groups, and seminars, the St. Kateri Institute aims to help people experience the beauty, goodness, and truth of the Catholic faith in conversation with modern secular culture.
Our patron is St. Kateri Tekakwitha, a courageous and devout young woman, who in her time found nourishment and life in the beauty, truth, and goodness of the Catholic faith.
The institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and lay apostolate under the Diocese of Springfield.
